Setting up #Debian 9 on my Libreboot X200 - I keep forgetting how much work it is to set up a new system...
Pretty cool. Here's the currently available model:

I'm all in favor of the free software aspect, of course. But does the hardware feel and behave like a laptop from ten years ago? Is the battery life terrible? I'm interested to hear your experience when you've had a chance to use it more.

It is hardware from ten years ago. It's impossible to install Libreboot on newer Intel laptops. That's mainly because of Intel ME if I'm not mistaken. I've owned the laptop some time now but never used is as I accepted #coreboot with #SeaBios on a Chromebook as free enough.

EDIT: (I wasn't done writing the post... just hit submit accidentally ;) ) The cromebook is about to die, that's why I'm using the X200 again. It'll probably never be my main machine, though.
@Andrew Manning And to be honest, I think the Minifree products are way overpriced. You just can't ask this amount of money for 10 year old hardware. If you want one it's probably cheaper and more fun to buy a second hand machine and a beagle bone black with the equipment to flash Libreboot.
